The end of week one out of the six week shave project with WSP has been fantastic. Fantastic regarding the outcome of the skin on my Dome and face. WSP soaps have a good reputation among other shavers asimage a soap that feels great on your skin while providing extra smoothness and hydration as well. WSP also has a reputation for great smelling soap scents. Lee the owner of WSP started wet shaving way back in 2002 because he decided that enough was enough with paying high prices for cartridge razors. In 2011 WSP was founded and lee has been making fantastic products ever since.

Lee being the fantastic person that he is decided that he would make my next six weeks of shaving extra smooth and comfortable with his products such as shave soap, aftershave and shave oil. The soap scents are as follows. Barbershop that has an aroma of an imageItalian Barbershop, Black Amber Vanille  is a rustic amber with black Myrrh and Egyptian Musk. BlackBeard has a mixture of tobacco, then cherry, vanilla, patchouli, cloves, spices, Fougere Noir smells very similar to Drakkar Noir with an aromatic fougere notes of bergamot, rosemary, lavender, cardamom & geranium, vetiver, cedar, and fir balsam, Lavenderwood and Spring Rain. All of the WSP shave soap have ingredients such as Coconut oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Glycerin, steric acid and water. The after shave scents of Black Orchid and Fougere Noir ingredients consist of Alcohol, Hamamelis Virginiana, Glycerin, Fragrance, Menthol and Allantoin, The aftershave’s Soothes, Moisturizes, and helps with healing of the skin after shaving.

The WSP shave soaps are a concentrated formula meaning no water as a filler making each tin weigh in at 125 grams, 4.4 ounces by weight. These tins are a heavier wide mouth tin for easy brush loading imageand better storage. The tins have a screw on/off air tight lid. These soaps are made from natural vegan ingredients free of synthetics dyes and preservatives. Last but not least is the WSP pre and post shave oil Matterhorn that contains some great all natural ingredients such as JoJoba oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Avocado Oil, Grape seed oil and fragrance.

The shave soap produces a creamy lather that’s thick but not heavy. The lather is lightweight and robust loading my shave brush effortlessly clinging on to and in between each bristle exploding on to my face and dome with a great application. The thick and creamy lather from WSP shave soap provides my razor with a cushion and slickness for a smooth and comfortable shave every time. I look forward to the next 5 weeks of shaving with the WSP shave soaps, after shave and pre-post shave oil. Have a #Baldtastic day.
